Address Signs
Living in West County is great. We love the open country, abundant trees, and rural environment. However, these things also make it harder for the fire department to find your home in an emergency. When you call 9-1-1, you want us there immediately. However, we can't help you, if we can't Find you.
Please help us by posting visible street numbers for your house from the road. It is best to use at least four-inch, reflective numbers on a solid background.
If your house accessible from both directions on your street, then please put street numbers on both sides. Place the signs in a highly visible area. If you live on a long access road, consider multiple signs. If you are planning on selling or remodeling your home, don't be surprised when they require you to do this -- it's the law.
Address signs can be purchased from Graton Firefighters Association for $20 per sign. The sign will feature four-inch reflective numbers on one or both sides of a green metal sign. The money generated from sign sales is then used to sponsor our community events, such as the haunted house and children's toy drive.
To order an address sign, stop by the fire station and pick up and order form or download a PDF of the order form from the link at the bottom of this page. Once completed, drop it off or mail it with payment to to the station. Please make all checks out to Graton Firefighters Association. When the sign is done, we will call to let you know.
